The GOLDWIN firm defended the National Union of Taxi Industries against the HEETCH platform and its leaders.
In a judgment handed down on March 2, 2017, the Paris Criminal Court ordered the platform to pay a fine of 200,000 euros and each of the directors to pay a fine of 10,000 euros, finding them guilty of the following counts:
- Deceptive business practices
- Illegal organization of a system for connecting customers with persons engaged in the road transport of people for payment in vehicles with fewer than ten seats
- Complicity in the illegal exercise of the activity of taxi operator: lack of authorization to park on the road open to public traffic while waiting for customers
