GOLDWIN Law Firm defended the National Union of Taxi Industries against the HEETCH platform and its managers.
In a judgment rendered on March 2, 2017, the Paris Correctional Court ordered the platform to pay a fine of €200,000 and each of the directors to pay a fine of €10,000, finding them guilty of the following charges:
Deceptive commercial practices
Illegal organization of a system for putting customers in contact with persons engaged in the road transport of persons for hire or reward in vehicles with less than ten seats
Complicity in the illegal exercise of the activity of cab operator: absence of authorization to park on the road open to public traffic while waiting for customers
